Sense of Design
The aim is to stimulate the reflection on the meaning of design, which should be the result of innovation and teamwork before a mere aesthetic exercise.
This exhibition is based on the conviction, as deep as it is provocative, that our life is full of design, it is in the shape of things, basically how we can take possession of our destiny and how we are able to shape it. Reflecting on the nature of design, in the full sense of the term, is far from a peaceful operation, it is about asking ourselves a question about the essence of things- a questioning of the existence which pertains to our very way of being, of standing , of looking at the world, of doing things, of transforming reality, of giving it a shape. In this dimension the designer must have a soul, with eyes that can look into the abyss and its many forms and simultaneously manage to translate and manipulate those forms, here and now, making it available to mankind for a life more functional, and where possible, with aesthetic quality.
Opening: February 10, 2012 – 7 pm
